Two ‘dangerous fugitives’ have been arrested

Two ‘dangerous fugitives’ have been arrested in Alicante province. They are a 55 year old Frenchman, and 54 year old Spanish woman.

The man has been wanted by the French police for the past 23 years in connection with armed robberies of a bank and a jewellery stop in France in 1987, and will now be placed in the hands of the National Court in Madrid for his extradition. He has already been sentenced to a 30 year prison sentence in France.

The National Police say the man was arrested last Thursday close to his home in Castalla, while the woman was arrested at her home in San Fulgencio.
