A woman was killed on Monday morning during a bank robbery in Cambrils, Tarragona.

The two bank robbers attacked the branch of the Santander in Calle Roger de Lluria 6, in Cambrils at 0830am, demanding all the money available in the branch.

The woman, Estela Calduch, a 25 year old employee of the bank, received a gunshot wound and died from loss of blood, according to the regional police, Los Mossos d’Esquadra. However municipal sources had said that the victim had her throat cut by one of the attackers.

The two robbers managed to escape the police on foot, and a wide search has been established in the area.
