New DNA evidence has solved a brutal triple rape case with a British victim, which took place in Benalmádena in November 2001.
Now two brothers have been confirmed to have been the authors of the attack, and one of their cousins is also implicated.
At the time of the attack DNA evidence found on the body and clothes of the victim did not coincide with any in the police database. But the two brothers were recently arrested on another crime, and when their DNA was added to the database the match to the earlier rape came to light.
The British girl had agreed to leave a discotheque in the Puerto Marina in Benalmádena with three men, but instead they took her to waste land in Torremolinos where they drugged her, threatened her with a knife and then repeatedly raped her brutally.
