Spain signs business accords with China - Bloomberg: "Financially troubled Spain has signed more than a dozen business accords with China, a welcome boost for its recession-battered economy.
The deals involving the banking, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors were signed after Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero met with China's Vice Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday.
State-owned Spanish National Radio said the deals were valued at some euro5.6 billion ($7.5 billion).
The visit is important for Spain, which is emerging from nearly two years of recession with a eurozone high unemployment rate of 20 percent and a massive deficit.
Li has said China has faith in Spain's economy and will continue to buy the country's public debt.
Li was later to meet with King Juan Carlos and Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez."
