 group of Robbers attempted to destroy evidence of their offences in rubbish bins outside of the Guardia Civil Headquarters. The three bandits, who had robbed a petrol station in Orihuela, fled to Almoradi, where they attempted to get rid of tools used during the crime, including guns, gun belts and latex gloves, in the bins outside the Police Station.
They could not have chosen a worse location, as the whole thing was caught on the Police CCTV cameras. The Officer who was on guard noticed suspicious movement in vehicle that was caught on the cameras outside, and continued to witness the entire “cover-up” attempt! At that point the headquarters was alerted to the robbery that had occurred an hour before at the Oriolana Petrol Station, La Campaneta, where the thieves escaped with 200 euros cash.
The get-away car described was that stationed outside the Police Headquarters and the culprits were arrested immediately!
