Alexander McQueen Autopsy Reveals Use of Cocaine, Sleeping Pills, and Tranquilizers VF Daily Vanity Fair: "London coroner has released the results of Alexander McQueen’s autopsy. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the physician who performed the procedure concluded that the designer had ingested “’a significant level of cocaine,’ sleeping pills, and tranquilizers.” He surmised that McQueen had “‘killed himself while the balance of his mind was disturbed,’ and stressed that the designer ‘had a history of depression and anxiety, and was grieving for his mother.’” McQueen, 40, hanged himself in his London apartment in February nine days after the death of his mother.
