Iberia has cancelled 127 flights from those programmed for Monday 9, at the start of the SEPLA union pilots’ strike, which continues every Monday and Friday until the end July 20. The round of strikes could cost the company 90 million €.
Of the cancelled flights on Monday, 54 are domestic, 64 are European and nine are transatlantic.
The airline has also announced that 122 flights will be cancelled on Friday.
The pilots are protesting against the new Iberia Express low cost operation which they consider is a threat to their position.
