An ant-gay sermon from Bishop Juan Antonio Reig Plà, which was broadcast on Good Friday on the La 2 TV channel has resulted in a becoming a Trending Topic on Twitter in Spain.

The Bishop of Alcalá de Henares told the faithful that ‘those people who have so many ideologies end up not orientating human sexuality well’, which means that ‘they think since children that they are attracted by people of the same sex. To prove it the homosexuals ‘corrupt and prostitute themselves or go to men’s nocturnal clubs where they find hell’.

This last comment has resulted in the twitter tag #clubdehombesnocturos and some of the tweets responded.
Guerraeterna wrote‘From the creators of the hit concept of hell, now comes the #clubdehombresnocturos. The church needs new scriptwriters’.
Barbijaputa said ‘It’s normal they are not cutting funding to the Church. If it wasn’t for these breaks for laughter we would not earn enough for the Prozac’.

Others implied the Bishop knew all about these clubs –‘The Bishop of Alcalá only has to give us the address of the #clubdehombresnocturos and a flyer. He knows what he is talking about’.

The Bishop also spoke of abortion of which he said, ‘The woman who aborts is destroying herself and an innocent life’.
