National Police has arrested three men, two aged 34 and one aged 22, in Marbella for their participation in the killing and robbery of a 25 year old man from Ecuador.
The victim’s body was found at 1,15am last Tuesday 7, in the Calle La Playa in Cabopino, Marbella. They have been advised by a passer by that there was a person on the ground asking for help.
Despite the arrival of emergency services at the scene the life of the victim could not finally be saved. First investigations showed he had been in a nearby bar from about midnight, when some 15 or 20 minutes later three individuals travelling in the same car arrived. Two of them went into the bar while the third stayed with the vehicle.
Once inside the two men started a conversation with the victim to get him to go outside on the terrace to speak and smoke, and minutes later they tried to rob his valuables. Realising what was going on the victim ran off, but was caught by one of the men some 100m away, and then the other two arrived in the car and a fight took place and the victim sustained his fatal injuries, three stabbings and a blow to the head.
Police say they identified one of the attackers quickly from witness statements, and further investigation identified the other two.
