second quake was at 1302 today and measured 4.1 on the Richter Scale

The province of Almería has suffered a second earthquake in seven hours with the first tremor at 0610 on Thursday morning measuring 3.6 on the Richter Scale, and the second tremor at 4.1 coming at 1302.

There are no reports of injury or any damage from either of the tremors.

The first quake was ten kilometres underground, close to La Mojonera, between Roquetas de Mar and El Ejido, while the second was closer to the coast and resulted in several calls to the emergency services from residents of Almería City, Roquetas de Mar and Aguadulce.

Almería province is one of high seismic activity, and such movements are relatively frequent. Experts say such small tremors are a release of energy, and their presence removed the threat of a larger more serious quake.
