Mobile phone operators Movistar and Vodafone have been reprimanded for keeping the balance from pre-paid users if they did not recharge their cards within a certain time.

Consumers’ organisation FACUA says that Consumer Authorities in both Madrid and AndalucĂ­a have opened files on the matter as a consequence of their complaints placed a year ago.

They say that users should demand the money to be repaid. The balance was removed generally after a period of between seven and 13 months as the operators also removed the number.
