James Tomkins, 61, was held in Marbella by cops working on behalf of Met Police after a four-year manhunt.
Tomkins is wanted for the 2006 drive-by murder of Rocky Dawson, 24.
Mr Dawson was with his two children outside his parents' home in Hornchurch, Essex, when a gunman drove past and opened fire. He died in his mother's arms after staggering indoors."
